Zamosc

For the duration of our stay we established ourselves in the city of Zamosc. Aside from being one of the most beautiful cities in Poland, it also has a strong connection to the Jewish past. The city was birthplace to both I. L. Peretz, a ‘father’ of modern Hebrew and Yiddish literature and Rosa Luxemburg, a leading activist in the German Communist party.

The stunning former synagogue is now a public library. It is just as beautiful inside as out.
